In Judaism, names are considered
profoundly significant, often
representing a person's essence,
identity, character, and spiritual
potential. This stems from biblical
and traditional teachings where
names are not mere labels but
symbolic keys to one's nature and
destiny.
Knowing someone's name grants
power or control over them.
Yes, according to Christian theology
and biblical teachings, Jesus
explicitly allows and encourages
believers to invoke His name to
access God's power, provided it
aligns with God's will, serves the
believer's spiritual good (such as
faith, healing, or provision), and
ultimately brings glory to God. This
is not about personal gain or
manipulation but about faith-filled
prayer and actions that honor the
Father through the Son.
Jesus has granted us, his disiples
permission to invoke the power of his
name.
1John 16:23-24: "In that day you will
ask nothing of me. Truly, truly, I say
to you, whatever you ask of the
Father in my name, he will give it to
you. Until now you have asked
nothing in my name. Ask, and you will
receive, that your joy may be full."
As we pray today with humility and
expectation, call on the name of
Jesus, and ask the FATHER for
healing while directing the glory of
God
1Acts 4:30: "While you stretch out
your hand to heal, and signs and
wonders are performed through the
name of your holy servant Jesus."
To the Glory of God!!!
